The ZL50070 is a fully featured 24 K TDM/TSI switch. The programmable (per group of 4 stream) rate selection at 8, 16, 32 or 64 Mbps with rate conversion allows interfacing peripheral components at different data rates. With exceptional jitter tolerance, the device directly uses clock signals from a backplane or a low cost digital PLL. It also provides G.711 (A-Law/µ-Law) code translation and simultaneous BER testing on all streams.

- 24,576 channel x 24,576 channel non-blocking digital Time Division Multiplex (TDM) switch
- Per group (4 stream) data rate selection and rate conversion of 8.192, 16.384, 32.768 and 65.536 Mbps
- High jitter tolerance with multiple input clock sources and frequencies
- 96 serial TDM input streams, divided into 24 groups with 4 input streams per group
- 96 serial TDM output streams, divided into 24 groups with 4 output streams per group
- Flexible per stream input delay and output advancement allows stream alignment adjustment to compensate for bus delays
- Three sets of output timing signals for interfacing additional devices
- Per-channel A-Law/µ-Law Translation
- Per-channel constant or variable throughput delay for frame integrity and low latency applications
- Per-stream Bit Error Rate (BER) test circuits
- 16 bit non-multiplexed processor interface
- IEEE 1149.1 (JTAG) test port
- 3.3 V I/O with 5 V tolerant inputs; 1.8 V core voltage
